eService 'Service Request Activity List Applet (CX sService)' - Default Tile (Base) instead of List/

Hello,

Currenty the 'Service Request Activity List Applet (CX sService)' applet defaults to 'Tile' 'Applet List Tile (CX sService) webtemplate (Base) and this is not the desired functionality. It appears that eService has specific templates vs. standard applications and I have had no luck trying to swap out the tile with the 'Applet List (Base/EditList)', the result has yielded a blank section Activty section in view (SR/Contact/Activity).  I have the same issue with Contact,tile.   Is this possible wthout creating a custom webtemplate? I am wanting a 'grid' style list applet/template.

Do I need to add anything special to the manifest defintion?  Also, I noticed if it's an existing OOTB application that the manifest is read only is that normal?  I usually clone applets and have not had this is
