Unable to delete the inventory Item

Hi,

there are few items which needs to be deleted from the Org, which we already used before. and in process to delete those items we are receiving  this error "Inventory transactions exist for this item (MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS) " any relevant inputs are Appreciated.
