New Patchset out 18680198 – forces all ODA customers onto 12c GI - We don't want to upgrade to 12c

Patch 18680198 – ODA Patch Bundle 12.1.2.0.0 for Both ODA V1, ODA X3-2 and ODA X4-2, and for Both Bare Metal and Virtualized Platform

Looking at the readme it forces you to update grid infrastructure to 12c

1.2.1     Out-of-place update Grid Infrastructure from 11.2.0.4.x or 11.2.0.3.x to 12.1.0.2.0.

We do not want to go to 12c - the optimizer is much changed in the database and basically ignores most hints which is a disaster for our main app (I don't want to go into that problem here)

While the patchset doesn't force you upgrade the database from 11g to 12c we have done no testing with 12c ASM
