Pull records based on Current Month or year

Hi,

I am creating a dashboard report where the requirement is to pull records for current month or year only. The date should be based on the custom date field (Order date) we have on the opportunity Object. How can I put a filter on Order Date that it would only bring up data for Cureent month or year....I don't want to use the In between condition because that way I would have to update it everytime.
