Is there a way to build FSG on an alternate reporting hierarchy?

Hi colleagues, My client has cost centers that are grouped by parent on their COA. But they have an alternate cost center hierarchy which groups the same cost centers under different parents. They want to report this on an FSG. Is this possible? If so, how can this be done?

Is it possible to build out the alternate cost center hierarchy in a DFF and is it possible to show a DFF on FSG?

Any light appreciated.
