In ARM, when creating a period, we have start date, end date and close date. I understand that close date is the date on which the books are closed. When are Start date and End date used by ARM. Is Start Date and End date just to show when the period starts and ends ( May 1 , May 31 for month of  May). I understand we do have an option of setting profiles start dates using Period End date but one can use Period close date for that. So, if I am not using Period End date for profile
