Reset POS Price

In RPM under Price Change there is a Reset POS Price Change Type.   When we attempt to execute this it always defaults the date to the current date even when we override the date and then make the selection.

The result is we never get the Reset POS Price sent to the store as we are not running emergency maintenance.   Is this working as designed?
