Asset delete or asset update?

16000 assets were loaded into production prior to go live with an incorrect chartfield (CLASS_FLD).  Create accounting entries, DEPR_CALC have both ween run along with loading the DEPR_RTP and NBV tables.  Depreciation Close has not been run.  The issue was the effective date on the chart field crosswalk table.   Should we delete all assets and reload or update the CLASS_FIELD on the COST table, etc?
