Item master lead time to calculate Promise date in SO detail

Hi,

Can any one tell me Can i bring Promise date in sales order detail from Item lead time. if yes how JDE is doing this.

I need this so that if we want to promis to customer we can use this information from SO screen?

I am not using transportation module if we have this option there.
