How we can differentiate manufacturing industries

Hi Folks,

Could some one explain the process to differentiate following manufacturing processes

Also please clarify in each manufacturing industry level business flows. (Other than Booking PO, Receiving material to Inventory and Booking Sales order and shipping goods to customer)

Note:- I am expecting Supply chain/ Manufacturing industry related flow (Financial  application like AP and AR integration process not expecting here, If GL integration please specify)
