ORA-02072: distributed database network protocol mismatch 12.1.0.2 Grid / 11.2.0.4.9 Database

Upgrade failed for Database from 11.2.0.4 to 12.1.0.2 Windows x64

Applied Patch 11.2.0.4.9 and now all the Database Links are dysfunctional

Downgrade the DB Patch from 11.2.0.4.9 or downgrade the Grid back to 11.2.0.4 ?

Since 12.1.0.2 Windows x64 is so new, there are no support links to take care of this error, except the bug was reportedly fixed in the 12.1.0.2 Patch Set

Any Ideaa on what to try first.
