dbca complains of unavailability of VIP
Hi,
I am installing oracle 10g rac database using vmware workstation.
I have created 2 linux machines.I have performed the following operations:
1. ocfs installed and asm disks created.
2. installed oracle clusterware using oui.
3. created asm instances using dbca.
4. now running dbca for "database creation"
dbca is throwing the following message and can not proceed further:
"Virtual IP Address is not configured for node 'deverp'. Run "/u01/oracle/10.2.0/bin/vipca" as root user to configure it before performing the "Create Database" operation."
All the clusterware components are up and running.
