Create a custom "login.css" stylesheet

We've created a custom theme in our 8.1.1.9 OpenUI instance and it looks great! We're trying to theme the login page now, but can't find a way to do it without modifying the OOTB "login.css" file. Obviously, this is likely to be overwritten when we patch or upgrade our Siebel instance.

How do we create a custom "login.css" file that we can modify without fear of our changes being overwritten?
