ASCP Planning based on revision or lot attribute

Hi All,

We have R12.1.3 implemented, and we are medical devices business.

We have scenario wherein we manufacture Item-A from 2 manufacturing sites, both generating different lot numbers (lot12, lot34). Based on the customer's country we can only ship lot12 or lot34 depending on the registration in that country.

Given that we are thinking of below possible solutions:

1) Use lot attribute to store mfg site and use rules to allocate based on that. But it seems that ASCP cannot plan based on lot attribute and we want to plan item for each mfg site.

2) Create 2 separate internal item#s but then we have to somehow have identify the correct item during the ordering process.
