Applet "Print" menu and "print.css"

Our users use the "Print" applet menu item on two views ("All Applets in View" print behaviour). In the HI Client Siebel generates a nice, clean table structure that can easily be printed.

In OpenUI, this functionality has been deprecated and MOS (Doc ID 1592430.1) talks about using native browser print functionality along with "print.css". The article includes a link to a w3.org page that contains information that is way beyond me!

Has anyone implemented this "print.css" solution to replicate the behaviour of the HI client applet print functionality? Are there any guidelines, outside of w3.org, as to how to go about implementing this solution in Siebel OpenUI?
