Work Order Mass Update

Has anyone got any document or information on how to Mass Update work orders? We have a requirement where at the year end we need to update all the work orders have a particular status to another status. I found P48022 but haven't tried it before nor do I have any document. Additionally I would like to know if there are any reports available.
