Can transactions be carried forward automatically? Can reconciliations just look at USD amounts?

We have 2 questions:

(1) In ARM, is there a way for a transaction to automatically carry forward from one month to the next?

For example, a transaction is created in June 2014 period.  July 2014 period comes around and it automatically rolls to July 2014. 

We know transaction can be copied from a prior reconciliation, but we are looking for a way for it to be carried forward automatically. 

(2) In ARM, is there a way to just look at USD amounts?  We are transitioning from another reconciliation system to ARM. 

In our previous system, a reconciliation is considered reconcilied if unexplained difference in USD is 0.
