Windows vrs Unix for E-Biz

Has anyone any experience of E-Business on Windows platforms ?

It would appear that the majority of sites I have experienced using E-Business predominantly use Unix. I am fully aware that E-Biz is fully certified for Windows but I have rarely seen it used for E-Business Suite ( I have seen some split configurations that use Windows for the Database Tier ) but I have rarely seen Windows used for the Applications Tier.

I am trying to get a feel for just how common / popular Windows would be for E-Business ( not very common at all in my experience ) and reasons why that should be
