EX 9.2 Approval Workflow Question

Does the "Notify Participant" Escalate Option work for Expenses workflow?  We want to be able to remind an approver if he/she has an Expenses transaction on their approval worklist after a certain number of days.  Does this option work with Expenses, since I know some functions on the Process Definition don't work for EX like they would for Purchasing, for example?  Please see attached.
