BI publisher standalone vs. inside OBIEE vis a vis EBS security

Is there any difference or gotchas if I am trying to integrate E Business Suite security in BI publisher which is standalone vs. if it was inside OBIEE ?

Does single sign need to be implemented in EBS ?
