12.1.0.1 patching vs 12.1.0.2 availability for Standard Edition

I'm putting together a plan for upgrading a number of 11g Standard Edition databases to 12c.

According to MOS 742060.1, patching for 12.1.0.1 ends in July 2015.

According to MOS 1905806.1, 12.1.0.2 is not yet available for Standard Edition, and no date has been published.

Does this mean 12.1.0.1 will be supported for an unknown period of time of less than 9 months duration? If I upgrade to 12c (12.1.0.1) now, should I plan on doing a further patch upgrade (to 12.1.0.2) in less than 9 months, whilst not knowing when the release will be available? It would almost make more sense to stick with 11.2.0.4, which has a longer lifetime.
