What are some possible scenarios for seeing current messages for Distributed Topics?

In our WLS 10.3.4 enviroment we have one DT with many non durable subscriber. Point blank we see current messages rise for no apparently reason. What are some possible scenarios for seeing current messages for Distributed Topics?
