Help to decide about ASM diskgroup.

Hi,

I have a ASM diskgroup of size 12TB. Now I need more space for this database.

Due to some reason creating a new diskgroup will be easier for me, rather than adding disk to the existing diskgroup.

But this is our central database of a large environment and Database performance is a big issue for us.

So, is there any performance or any other issue for having two diskgroup for data ? Also planing for LUN size 4TB each (HP 3PAR storage). Is there any LUN size limitation ?

## Oracle Verson: 11.2.0.1

## 2 node RAC with external redundancy diskgroup.

Please experts, I really need some advice.
