in Disk Storage ZFS Storage Appliance (MOSC) Question

My customer is asking for AD authentication of administrative logins on the ZFSSA.  I have seen previous threads discussing how this can be accomplished using MS Windows IDMU and AD with additional LDAP extension.  This seems complex and I am hopping there is some documentation describing how this is implemented.  Any comments or pointers to other documents are appreciated.
