How do you delete a journal batch with no header or lines?

How do you delete a journal batch with no header or lines?  The batch doesn't show up using the Review Batch search.  You can see the batch in the LOV if you use the find Journals search, but since there are no journals associated of course nothing displays.   Don't understand why the batch isn't found in the LOV for the Review Batch search, though.   Any other way to delete this batch?   Would just deleting from gl_je_batches table suffice?   Would prefer to do it via the application, if possible.
