Manager Hierachy Not Showing as Per Freeze Date (Doc ID 1565666.1)

In reference to Manager Hierachy Not Showing as Per Freeze Date (Doc ID 1565666.1) Bug 4681957.  Has there been any further update since June, 2013?  While recognizing it is classified with a severity level of 4 be able to use freeze date vs LE date would be so beneficial as we have plans with a life event of 31-Dec-YYYY (current year) which also happens to be a common term date for many managers therefore once the plan is ran the new manager as of 01-Jan doesn't have access to the plan therefore the next level up (if they hadn't termd as well) has to print the employee statement.  Does anyone have a workaround other than
