How to configure PERL which comes with Solaris 10 to connect with Oracle 11.2g database OR any open

I am struggling to configure PERL to connect with Oracle 11.2g database. Is it possible to use the PERL which comes with Solaris 10 operating system? OR Do I need to download and install some open source Perl form outside?? Please someone help on the ASAP. Thank you very much. BK
