How can we roll back a service contract end date?

I need to figure out how can we roll back a service contract end date.  We extended it but put in the wrong year in error and need to roll it back 1 year.  Trying to put a new date in the extend field errors because the original end date is later than the new requested end date.  I appreciate any suggestions!
