F3215 COMM field remains as 'S' for some components

Hi, 

We are facing a strange issue on a configured SO. The parent config item calls for a two levels of config sub-assemblies defined using P-Rules. The bottom (third) level Line type 'S' component is not getting added onto F3111. On further analysis, I noticed in F3215 that the "COMM" field remains as 'S' and product code as 42 for that particular component whereas for other component lines its 'N' and "31" respectively. Has anybody come across such a scenario?
