Hi Guys,

  we are scheduled RMAN backup , obviously RMAN will also take care for data block verification. In the Mean time we too have DBverify job scheduled, Hope DBverify also do the same

datablock verification, could be earliear version (oracle 8.x/9.x) for RMAN may not an efficient for data block corruption detection, But currently we are having oracle database 11g Release 2 ,

since RMAN backup will take care for Block corruption, DBverify job can be removed (hope it check only block corruption ???).

Hope DBverify is obsolute for latest oracle release ???. Pls. clarify me the same.
