Mobile POS client shows white screen after splash screen

I've installed the mobile pos client on an ipad mini with ios 8.1. The app is visible on the ipad and when i click it, it shows the splash screen but then just a white screen after that.

Few pointers -

- I have verified the Server details - I have installed the mobile pos server on my laptop

- The Application is installed on a standalone weblogic instance - the https://<my-ip-address>:<my-port>/mobilepos/index.jsp page is visible from the laptop as well as the ipad safari

- The CO, BO, Store Server and Mobile POS server were started up in this order.
