Customize and setting up X desktop after vnc connect on Oracle Linux 6.5 server

Hello,

On installed Oracle Linux 6.5 server connecting with Win32 vnc viewer ( RealVNC ).

1. But the desktop that is displayed after connection is very dull. Having only three icons Computer, root's home, Thrash. Having no menus, no applications menu bar,

    no tty terminal window.

    The sequence of shell commands in $HOME/.vnc/xstartup are bellow.

    No matter which Desktop I uncomment at then of the shell file ( twm, startx, startkde ) always get same desktop without any icons or without  menus.

    Through putty ( telnet ) session did install with yum tool Open Office and Mozilla Firefox.

    Whish to customize icons for both of them on Desktop.
