Difference between Lot Attributes & Maintain Lot Numbers DFF

What is the difference between Difference between Lot Attributes & Maintain Lot Numbers DFF.

Org is WMS Enabled.

Transaction : Receipt

I could able to enter only Lot Attributes detail but not the segments enabled for 'Maintain Lot Numbers' DFF through Mobile Application.

But when i tried to receive the same through desktop, I could able to enter both.

Is there any restriction? If so, please do let me know any note or something which explains this.

Why Maintain Lot Numbers is introduced when we have Lot Attributes DFF? Is it to give the user more options?
