Can you restore a RMAN back to another edition of 11g?

We had some miscomunication during the planning phase and ended up with standard edition for our test/dev server(cost savings measure) and an enterprise edition for our production server.

So we are preparing for a DR test in which our recovery target will be on an existing 11.2.0.3 standard server(test/dev).  The plan is to shutdown the test/dev databases, build the production database and restore the data via RMAN.  The source database is a 11.2.0.3 enterprise server?  This will be a new method of recovery for our business unit as we normally would recover from scratch at a SunGuard facility.
