Migrating RAC to new hardware

Hi,

We are having a four node rac and we are planning to upgrade the Server hardware to a new version keeping the storage same. We will be using new set of IP's for RAC.

If somebody has done this could you please confim if the approach is fine or not ?

1. Install operating system in the new hardware

2. Install grid infrastructure for cluster in the new hardware ( new OCR and Voting disk from same storage)

3. Install the database software.alone

4. Connect the new hardware to the storage and bring up asm and mount the all the diskgroups.

5. Register the db,instance and service with ocr
