LOV Alternative

Dears,

The Requirement is to pick Description field while picking the type in the Account Note. It is a very simple requirement but here is the tricky part I am asking about, The Description is 2000 Character. When I looked at the List of Values the largest field which is "Description" It was 250 Character. And it know that it is not recommended to add columns and fields on the List of values. So my question is, Is there is alternative to List of Values that I can use to store the type and Description fields but it has the ability
