We use BI Publisher to print XML files containing embedded pictures.

We use BI Publisher to print XML files containing embedded pictures.
Sometimes it is able to process them, other times not.
When not then the generated PDF file is unusable.
Adobe Acrobat Reader means: "The file is damaged and could not be repaired".

So the users must resize the picture and recreate the XML files possibly several times
before BI Publisher is graciously pleased to generate a valid PDF file.

I logged an SR but I got the following reply:
