Dropping a disk from diskgroup and deleting the LUN

Hey Guys, A quick question on how best to release a dropped disk back to the SAN.

I have a 4xnode RAC with a bunch of shared LUNs from a SAN. I would like to drop one of the disks that is part of an active diskgroup and then return it back to the SAN for getting recycled for some other cluster. I have already carried out the following:

1. Drop the disk from the diskgroup.

2. Confirm that the ASM operation is complete and the group_number for this disk in v$asm_disk is set to 0 with mount_status and header_status CLOSED and FORMER respectively
