Is it possible to change the cost group of a Subinventory

Hi,

While defining a subinventory, a cost group defaulted on it. Is it possible to change the cost group to a different cost group.

We have around 5 cost groups defined in the system. The inventory has transactions and on-hand. Can we change the cost group? If yes, please suggest some documents for navigation
