Transacting with Decimals in WMS

edited Nov 18, 2014 10:00AM in Distribution - JDE1 (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Can decimal quantities be transacted with WMS with LPN switched on (No F4602)?   WMS suggested the correct random location for putaway of 5.85 kilograms of an item (Item's primary UOM is KG).  I was also able to suggest the pick location and pick confirm 5.85 KG.  Based on my test, I'm able to transact decimal quantities but am not sure if it may have just worked only with this specific example.  Can other issues be caused by decimal quantity transactions in WMS?  Pls see note below

According to E1: 46: FAQ for Warehouse Management (Doc ID 1345962.1)- The Warehouse System is designed to pick full Units of Measure. If picking something smaller than a Primary Unit of Measure, then the current Primary UOM is not the smallest Unit of Measure and it should not be the Primary UOM for that item. If a sales order is entered with a decimal quantity, R46171 will create a suggestion for the whole number, but not for the decimal quantity, splitting the line and leaving the decimals as "Quantity Remains".

Howdy, Stranger!
