my controlfile backup failed last night but worked the night before. Should I back it up now?

Hello, our RMAN config has controlfile autobackup turned on.  However it failed last night but was successful the night before last.  The incremental backups worked find through all this.  How important is it to execute a backup of the controlfile NOW?
