Inconsistent Value for "Internal Orders Enabled" - Item XXXX

I am attempting to update the description of item XXXXX in "Master Items" ..When I save my changes, I get the attached error message ... .According to the following, the "Internal Orders Enabled" flag is set to 'Y' in the one org:.... However, when I view item XXXX in the  org, "Internal Orders Enabled" shows as unchecked (and cannot be checked).
