difference between DBFS mountpoint and DBFS diskgroup

edited Nov 21, 2014 10:01AM in Exadata General (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered

Hello,

There is one DBFS diskgroup where os image and everything is stored and another is with DBFS_client we can create a mount point.

Are both dbfs diskgroup and dbfs mountpoint would be managed by DBFS or dbfs diskgroup on asm would be masnaged by ASM vol manager and mount pointed would be managed by DBFS vol manager.

I mean how can ASM and DBFS both volume managers coexist(DBFS diskgroup in ASM).

Best regards,

Vishal
