october 2013 CPU PSU for 11.2.0.2 questions on conflicts

We are running an older version of 11g (11.2.0.2.0).  I downloaded the October 2013 PSU/CPU and followed what I hoped are the instructions.   basically check the opatch version and then unzip the latest into oracle home if needed.  Then run the prereq check...., and apply the PSU.   These are cumulative right? so I have no need to worry if I've missed any ?

 

It seems to all go through on my Linux server (I noticed there are no interim patches on our Linux boxes though).   However on Solaris it did not.  I had a few problems.

 

1. opatch utility got "tr" command errors.  I had to change my PATH to the following to use the correct tr command:
