Can we continue with the FA Subledger and disable the relevant GL ledger?

Hello,

I currently have an FA subledger that is linked to a GL ledger but the GL ledger is going to get disabled/end dated/made inactive.

I need to know if I can continue with the FA Subledger and disable/end date/inactivate the relevant GL ledger?
