SunRay 3 Plus on rhel 6

I am building a server running RHEL 6.4 and trying to use sun ray 3 plus'.  Let me start by saying that due to the applications that will be running on the server I am stuck with RHEL 6 and the sun rays are left over from the M5000 that is currently running the apps.  I don't have funding for new terminals so I have to make do.  I understand from my research that the Gnome Desktop was deprecated in RHEL 6 and that the sun rays will not work "out of the box".  Does anyone have a nice step-by-step
