DR solution

hello all,

Just want to share some idea for setting up standby environment as DR solution.

Our environment is two nodes RAC on Linux physical box. We will take one node offline and migrate boot part from local to SAN and boot from there. Then, using EMC recoverpoint to mirror whole boot part from SAN and also include all ASM LUNs from SAN as well to DR location as standby.

so if DR happen, we can start up single node on DR side.

what do you think? sounds a little crazy ... I know someone might say this is not TRUE DR solution. I agree. However, guess what, save $$.
