How can I set the two different sets of picking rules for a single item that is used as a standard s

We have several items that are used standard sellable items (which are established with picking logic to pick from the distribution center side of the warehouse) and then the same item is a component item to a work order (this item needs to be picked from the work order processing area of the warehouse). I need to be able to pick the same item from two seperate areas within the warehouse depending on on the order type (SO versus WO). Is that possible?
