Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. HR: Absence Duration Auto Overwrite

Hi,

We have upgraded to Oracle EBS R12.1.3+ per November 7th, 2014 (HRMS RUP6 + all patches mentioned in the known issues on top of that RUP).

Now we are facing an issue with profile option "HR: Absence Duration Auto Overwrite".

We must set the value for this option to "Yes" when the system needs to recalculate the number of days after updating absence (sickness) end date.

But setting the profile option to Yes HRSS function Create Absence (holiday/leave) doesn't work properly any more.

When logging a date i.e. Start and End = 12-November-2014 and Hours = 4 the system automatically calculates 8 hours when using the 'next' button.
