Generate Forecast based on Focus method

We have created our forecast rules, based on Focus method. But when we generate the forecast, the forecast gets extended to the cut off date all with 0 quantities.

When it comes to Generate the forecast it is unclear to us what the meaning of some of the parameters is. The User guide does not contain clear explanations of what these are. (Oracle E-Business Suite (12.1) Inventory Management, Oracle Inventory User's Guide E13450-04). Is there a more specific definition of those parameters?

And also, are there other background programmes that need to run for the forecast to be generated?
